Game Play
Q. How do I change weapons?
First you must add alternative weapons to your “Weapon Exchange Slot”. This can be found in the “Shop/Inventory” at the game lobby. Select ?lot Settings?from the list of tabs, drag and drop the alternative weapon onto the slots.
When you are in the game, Press “N” at the beginning of the round or respawn will bring up the mini weapon exchange slot. Press the corresponding number key to swap to that weapon.
Note: Each weapon swap will cost you 50 points.


Q. How to turn on blood effect?
A. You can turn on or off blood effect in the game option window in the lobby. Select “Other (Etc.)” from the tab and check blood effect “On”.
Q. What is “Item Duration” or “Item Rental”?
A. Most of the items in the game are on a rental basis, meaning that the item will be return to the shop once the duration has expired. You can check the rental duration of items in the shop or in your weapon locker; the display date will be the expiry date of the item. Example: this MSG90 will expire on 25th Nov 1 PM.
Q. I shot my opponent but he is not dead!
A. The amount of damage you deals to your opponent is depended on the area you hit. Arms and legs deal the least damage while headshot is the most serious. Sometime, network congestion or lag will affect in determine the area you hit.


Technical
Q. The graphic looks “broken” on my computer.
A. There can be several reasons to this, but these are the common cause: 1. Graphic card. Your graphic card might not meet the minimum requirement to play the game. This often happens for build-in or shared memory graphic card. 2. Graphic driver. You might be using an outdated driver for your graphic card, please check for the latest driver from the manufacturer.

Q. The game prompts that I was using an illegal program.
A. For cyber cafe:
Some caf managing software such as timer, ordering system or firewall could be interfering with the game. Please contact the cafe operator.
B. For home user:
Please close all other programs while playing the game, as some programs would interfere with the game? security system.
If you are using Windows Firewall, please add Sudden Attack into the exception list.
If you are sharing your connection on a router, you will need to turn off the Firewall in the router as well.

Q. My screen turns black but the music is playing.
A. This is caused by the computer monitor or graphic display being out of sync with the game. To change the display settings:
1. Right click on your computer desktop, select “Properties” and then “Settings”.
2. Change screen resolution (800 by 600 pixel), Color Quality (16 bit).
3. Next click on “Advanced” and select “Monitor”.
4. Change screen refresh rate (60 Hz).
5. Click on “OK” to save the changes and try starting the game again.
Q. The game won? run or would crash on Windows Vista.
A. This is caused by a compatibility issue on Windows Vista. Please follow the steps below to run the game in Windows XP compatible mode.
1. Right click on the Sudden Attack shortcut on your computer desktop.
2. Select “Run as administrator”.
3. Select Properties and click on “Compatibility” from the list of tabs.
4. Click on “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” , select “Windows XP (Service Pack 2)”.
5. Under “Privilege Level”, check “Run this program as administrator”.
6. Click “Ok” to save the changes and try again.
Q. My screen is all blank!
A. We are informed that some motherboard build-in graphic card, especially those with VIA/S3G, SIS and Intel chipset series, would encounter this problem. So far there is no solution for this problem other than replacing your graphic card.

Q. How to change display settings?
A. You can change the display settings in the game option window, found in the game lobby.
1. Select “Display” from the list of tab and choose the setting you wish to use.
2. Click on “Confirm” to save your settings.
Note: Display settings are only applied during game play. Lobby and game room will use default 800 by 600 pixel display.

Q. I receive C++ error after launching the game.
A. We suggest you to perform these steps:
Re-register all .dll files on your computer.
1. Click on “Start” and select “Run” from the menu.
2. Enter “cmd” and press enter to bring up the DOS prompt window.
3. Enter this command into the window for %1 in (%windir%\system32\*.dll) do regsvr32.exe /s %1
4. Press enter to run the command; the process should take several minutes. Restart the computer and try again.
