TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  • Sudden Attack Squad Battle Tournament for Cyber Fusion 09 contestants are limited to 160 Players/32 Squads which each Squad must consist of 5 members.
  • Qualifying Round: Group League with 8 Groups of 4 Squad
  • Knock-Out: Double Elimination, for top 8 Squads of each Group
MATCH STRUCTURE

  • Each Match, room is set to Mission Mode with no free view
  • Each Match will have 2 halves, each half will consist of 9 rounds
  • Marshall on duty will randomly draw map from the selection of maps provided below.
  • Squad will get to play on both red and blue team. First half on either Red or Blue team, the remaining half will be on the other team.
  • A coin toss will be use to determine which Squad plays RED team and which Squad plays BLUE team for that round of the match.
  • Each Squad is given 10 minutes to prepare themselves before the match begins (I.E: Purchasing weapons/items in the shop). But once the match has started, Squads cannot go to the shop to make anymore purchases.
  • Weapon/Item Restriction: Bomb Techkit
  • First to 10 wins or highest wins in the match will win the match.
  • If any of the matches in Knock-Out or Same Accumulated Points in Group League results as a draw, there will be a Quick Mission Match as a Tie-Breaker.
  • In Quick Mission Match, a random map will be drawn by the Marshal from the selection of maps provided below.
  • Squad Leaders from each Squad will be called and a coin toss will be use to determine which Squad plays RED side and which team plays BLUE side.
  • Squads are entitled to play only one side and one match. There will be no changing of side for Quick Mission Match
  • Match? MAX round is set to 3 rounds and first to 2 wins will win.
    1. QUALIFYING ROUND (LEAGUE)
      • Point system format will be used. Three points are awarded for a win, one point for a draw, no points for a defeat.
      • Squad will be divided to 8 groups that consist of 4 squads per group.
      • Each Squad in the group will have to play 1 match against every Squad available in the group itself
      • Squad from each group with the highest points accumulated will proceed to Quarter-Final.
      • If two or more Squads finished equally on the accumulated points at the end of the Group League, the following criteria are applied to determine the ranking:
        .:Highest win score difference from all the group matches played among the Squads
        .:Lowest lose score difference from all the group matches played among the Squads
      • If Squads are still tied after these criteria, both Squads will face a Quick Mission Match.
      • First to win 2 rounds will proceed to Quarter-Final.
    2. DOUBLE ELIMINATION o The winners advance in a ?inners?bracket, losers continue in a ?osers?bracket when they have lost one match. Participants are eliminated when they have lost 2 matches. During the finals, the winner of the ?osers?bracket must win 2 consecutive matches against the winner of the ?inners?bracket.

GAME PLAY DURATION

Note: (Not inclusive with room settings, break time and player allocation)
Qualifying Rounds = 12 hours
1st Round = 1 Hour
2nd Round = 1 Hour
Semi-Finals = 1 Hour
Finals = 1 Hour

Total time duration = 16 hours

There will be a break time of 10 minutes before the semi finals and finals, to allow the contestants to rest and discuss their strategies

RULES AND REGULATIONS
  • Contestants must be in a Squad with 5 members in a Squad to participate the tournament.
  • Squad must not contain offensive or vulgar Squad names or will be disqualified on the spot.
  • If any Squad without at least 5 active members is not present before the game starts, the Squad will be disqualified.
  • Contestants can only use the registered IGN to participate the event and no others IGNs.
  • Contestants are allowed to join the tournament once only.
  • Contestants are allowed to bring their own gaming keyboards, gaming mouse and gaming mouse pad.
  • Contestants are not allowed to use any software which is not officially released by AsiaSoft.
  • Contestants must be sporting towards opponent and fair play.
  • Each Squad must have a Squad leader to speak for that Squad and interact with the judges. It is the leader? responsibility to organize/manage their Squad and to ensure everyone is in attendance and obeying the rules.
  • Any form of breaking the rules and regulations will have the contestant be given a ? warning strike? By the third warning, contestant will be disqualified from the mini-tournament. Contestants are not allowed to start the game until the marshals have check that they are using the correct IGN and allowed item.
    Contestants caught using vulgarity or being unacceptable will be disqualified from the contest immediately.
    Any form of bug exploitation during in the match will be given a warning.
  • If a match is involuntary interrupted (player crash, server crash, server network cuts...) the Marshall may decide to replay the match according the following rules:
    a. If the problem took place during the first 5 minutes of game time, the whole match will be replayed.
    b. If the problem took place after the 5 minutes game time duration, the match will be continued without the interrupted player.
    c. No compensation will be given for the money earned in game and lost due to the interruption of the game.
  • All Marshals?decision is final.
  • AS Online Sdn Bhd reserves the right to modify the rules as necessary. This includes changes due to software updates or releases, gaming committee decisions and all other changes deemed necessary to the tournament.
  • The organizer is not liable for any property that is lost, stolen or damaged and/or for any bodily harm, accidental or intentional to a participant during the Tournament event.
