International SA Tourney Rules & Regulations

General

  • All images and information of participants taken during tournaments will be used by the organisers for publicity purposes.
  • Participants may be required to take part in interviews and have their photos/videos taken by the media for publicity purposes.
  • Game Marshal's decision is final.
  • The latest version of Sudden Attack is to be used during all tournaments.

Code of Conduct
  • All tournament participants are to follow the rules and regulations as stated by the organisers. Tournament participants may be required to attend media interviews and/or have their images taken and published by the media for publicity purposes.
  • All participants are to be mindful of their behaviour at all times. No taunting, vulgarities or defamatory words are to be used in-game or in real-life. Team members displaying such unbecoming behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the disqualification of the entire team.
  • Participants are to observe fair play at all times during the tournament. This means no exploiting of bugs or engaging in activities that may result in unfair advantages.
  • Usage of vulgarity, taunting, showing of offensive sign & language are strictly prohibited.

Violations of Rules and Penalties
  • Failure to comply with the rules and regulations will result in penalties from the offending party. The penalty will be decided by the organisers, who may choose (but are not restricted to) the following actions:

    • Warning
      A maximum of three warnings will be given throughout the whole tournament. A team or individual who receives three warnings, accumulated throughout the tournament, will be considered disqualified from the tournament.

    • Default Loss
      The offending team is declared to have lost the match even if the battle has not been concluded.

    • Disqualification
      Player or team disqualification from the entire tournament

    • Ban
      The player or team will be banned from the current tournament, as well as all future SA tournaments.

Registration
Online Registration
  • Online registration will close three days prior to the actual day of the tournament
  • Players are to ensure all fields in the online registration form are filled.
  • Online registration forms are to include the following particulars for all team members:
    – Full Name
    – IGN they will be using for the tournament
    – NRIC
    – E-mail
    – Handphone number
    – Position playing (either Sniper or Rifleman. Please note that only a maximum of two Snipers are allowed per team)
On-the-Spot Registration
  • On-the-spot registration is for players who have missed the online registration deadline, as well as anyone who has decided, last minute, to join the tournament.
  • Registration will close one hour before the tournament is to start.
  • Forms will be provided for registration ?participants will have to fill the same particulars as mentioned above for online registrants.
  • Please note that priority is given to teams who have registered online. On-the-spot registrations will only be slotted into the brackets if there are spaces left.
Reporting Times
Reporting Time
  • Teams, with all team members present, are to report at least 30 minutes before the start of the tournament.
  • After reporting in, team leaders must attend a tournament briefing by the Chief Game Marshal and relay the information to their team members 15 minutes before the tournament starts. The organisers/game marshals will not be responsible for any penalties incurred by the team due to either failure of the team leader in attending the briefing or any miscommunication in information from team leader to his members.
Latecomers (Team)
  • A grace period of 15 minutes time will be given for latecomers
  • However, organisers will seed these latecomers in the tournament brackets according to their discretion.
  • If the latecomers still do not show when their match is called, they will be declared absent and the match declared a walkover. The opposing team will proceed to the next stage of competition.
Latecomers (Team member)
  • Team members who have not arrived by the time a team? match is scheduled to start will be declared absent.
  • If a team member is declared absent, the team will can either
    – Get a substitute player
    – Take part in the whole tournament without their missing member(s)
    – Forfeit the entire tournament
Substitution Players
  • An absent team member may be replaced by a substitute player
  • If the substitute player does not have an SA account, he/she will need to create a new account on the spot in order to participate.
  • Please note that if a substitute player takes part in the tourney using the absentee's account, he/she will bear full responsibility of any loss of items (in-game or cash item). Asiasoft will not be held responsible for any account changes and will not replace or compensate for any lost item in the account.
Gaming Equipment
Computer Equipment
  • Asiasoft will provide all equipment necessary for participants.
  • Tournament participants are allowed to bring the following personal equipment for competition:
    – keyboard
    – mouse
    – headphone
    – mouse pad
    – mouse bungee
  • The equipment software (driver) used must be approved by the organisers; non-approved drivers will not be accepted.
  • Setting up of personal equipment will be done during the 15 minute warm-up period. If the equipment is not set up by the end of 15 minutes, the participant will revert to using the equipment as provided by the organiser.
Computer Settings
  • Players are allowed to set the screen lightness, screen resolution and mouse sensitivity settings.
  • Graphic option settings are set to 32bits per second when using Window XP OS. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. As for Vista OS, Graphics options are to be set to 16 bits per second.
  • Any other changes to the PC hardware are not allowed without the consent of the Event Marshall.
  • No 3rd party communication tools and software are allowed. (Example; Skype & etc)
Before Match Procedure
  • All team members must be present during the tournament. Please assemble at least five minutes before your matches.
  • Teams will be allotted a 20 minutes warm-up & set-up (All In session) before each match.
  • Players are to use the allotted time to familiarise themselves with the keyboard as well as make any final adjustments to computer settings if needed (see Gaming Equipment).
  • If all teams are ready before the 20 minutes are up, they may inform the Game Marshal and start their matches.
  • Players should inform the Game Marshal on the positions that they are playing.
  • Players are only allowed to switch position after each match.
  • Winners of Coins toss will decide on the map to be competed inonlyand loser of coins toss will get to choose the side that they will be starting off with.
During Match Procedure
  • Communication, either verbal or through the in-game chat service, is allowed between team members during their matches; however communication with the opposing team, especially in the form of taunts or abusive language, is strictly prohibited.
  • Deliberately stopping, hanging or disconnecting during gameplay will result in immediate disqualification.
  • In the event of equipment malfunction, the player affected is to raise his/her hand to inform the Game Marshal.
  • The Game Marshal will then pause the match and resolve the problem. Gameplay is then resumed.
  • Team members who have been killed during the match are to take their hands off the computer and are not allowed to communicate with their team.
  • Any usage of any abusive language will result in a warning point given.
  • Failure to follow Game Marshals?orders will result in a warning point given.
  • Spectators or Team Managers are not allowed to stay in the competition areas. (Subjected to Event Venue & Chief Game Marshal)
Game Settings & Rules
  • For Window XP OS, Graphic option settingsMUSTbe set on 32 bits per second option.
  • For Window Vista OS, Graphics options settingMUSTbe set to 16 bits per second.
  • Players are not allowed to use boosting to set C4
  • Boosting/stacking during competition is allowed. Please note however that certain boosting/stacking is not allowed in certain bug spots (please refer to Boosting/Stacking section)
  • All characters skins are allowed.
  • Bomb Techkit SOCOM.K, SIG556 and B.93R are NOT ALLOWED in the tournament.
  • Absolutely no “over-nading” at Bomb Side A in Dragon Road Map into the roof of the building. First offense entitled a warning; second offence will cause the player to be disqualified immediately from the match.
  • Players are to stick the position they had registered in (i.e. if a player is registered as a sniper, he is not to change positions into a rifleman during the course of the tournament. However, a sniper is allowed to pick up a rifle in-game. )
  • At any point of time during the match, only 2 snipers will be allowed in 1 team.
  • During gameplay, a sniper can pick up a rifle but a rifleman cannot pick up a sniper gun.
  • Players registered as a sniper are not to switch their positions to riflemen throughout the tournament.
  • Similarly, players registered as riflemen are unable to switch positions to snipers throughout the tournament.
  • Slot function is allowed is to be empty and only Grenade, Flash Grenade and Smoke Grenade are allowed in the slot.
  • Players are not allowed to change weapons through Slot Function (e.g. from M4A1 Carbine to AK-47) during the game. But players are ONLY ALLOWED to change misc (e.g. Grenade, Flash Grenade and Smoke Grenade)
  • Players need to double check their primary weapon, secondary weapon, etc, slots setting and graphics settings before the start of a match.
  • Players are not allowed to use shop and inventory after the start of a match.
  • All types of crosshair are allowed.
Boosting/Stacking
Boosting and/or stacking are not allowed in these following areas:
3rd Supply Base

1) B Entrance Spot.


2) Walkway Route


3) Ladder Area




4) Ladder Area B


5) Exit way to Alleyway


6) Connector Hallway Exit




7) Alleyway to A site


Old Town

1) Basketball Court


2) Doorway


3) Archway


Bug Abuse
  • Usage of known bugs in the game to gain advantage will result in a player disqualification.
  • If an unknown bug shows up in the game during tournament, the players may ask the organisers to stop the game. The organisers will then decide either to restart or continue the game.
  • Unknown bug found due to boosting or stacking will result in a warning point. If offence is repeated whole team will be disqualification.
Disconnection Issues
  • Should any players or an entire match disconnect during a round. The match will restart with the previous score still intact.
  • No matter any forms of disconnection during a round. The match will be restarted with the previous score still intact.
Dress Code
  • Players are advice to report in Smart Causal wear with covered shoes.
Terms and conditions
  • All participants are required to bring along their personal identification documents in case there is a need for verification.
  • Only participants' identification document is accepted.
  • Queues and crowds are expected during the event and we seek your kind understanding and patience in this matter.
  • Participants found in breach of any rules and regulations may be disqualified.
  • The Management will not be held responsible for any loss of property, injury and/or death sustained during the event.
  • The Management is not responsible for any network or service issues caused by hardware or software failure.
  • This event is organised by Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd. All decisions made by the organiser are final. Rules and regulations are subject to change by the organiser at any time without prior notice.
